We’ve all been to that summer gathering.
The sun is shining, the food smells amazing, but half the guests are sitting in lawn chairs, scrolling through someone else's vacation photos on Instagram. It’s not their fault. Our brains are hardwired to look at the shiny glass rectangle in our pockets whenever there’s a lull in conversation. But this summer, we’re proposing a tiny social experiment for your backyard: The Phone Stack.
The rules are simple:
1. As guests arrive, everyone stacks their phones face-down in the centre of the table (or a designated basket).
2. The first person to reach for their phone before the food is served has to do the washing up, buy the next round, or take the first turn in a brutal round of The Fake News Card Game®.

When you take away the safety net of a screen, something brilliant happens. People actually look at each other. The laughter gets a little louder. The conversations get a little weirder. You actually pivoted from being in the same space to actually being together. Ditch the digital noise for a couple of hours this weekend. We promise your feeds won’t miss you, but your friends will.
