Autumn is such a wonderful month. It is getting colder and darker; leaves are falling from the trees. There is a chill in the air overnight, frost on the ground in the morning, mist and fog in the air. Dry, dead leaves crunch beneath your feet and clouds appear when you breathe out. School starts for many of us, as well as new challenges or new beginnings - whether it be a new job, new vows, new house, a new baby - and as with all new times and big moments, there’s an opportunity to enhance the joy with thoughtful words & well selected gifts.
Designing & launching a new product always takes time. At SD we aspire to develop high quality sustainable little gifts that bring joy to those giving and receiving, at any moment throughout the year. Autumn is no different, and we are lucky to design and develop product that celebrates the joys of this season.
We set about illustrating nature inspired vector graphics, with the ambition to team them with special quotes and warming colour palettes to inspire motivation during ambiguous times. These were developed during a personal time for myself and my husband, a story that we will tell in full next year. During this time, curating wonderful little motivational quote cards that we could display in our home, with other collected crafted trinkets, brought a feeling of happiness.
