Vicky Phillips runs Lightship Print Shop, a surface pattern and illustration studio now based in the Scottish Highlands, but originally based on board Lightship 95 in central London.
"I specialise in surface pattern (basically illustration for use on fashion and textiles, stationery and homeware) and commission based illustration projects. I have been running the studio for 4 years now and during that time have been lucky enough to work on a number of different projects from kids clothing (lots of dinosaurs and tigers and unicorns!), to men's swimwear prints, greetings cards and stationery for Paperchase, Scribbler and M&S, to giant 3D cubes installed on a rooftop venue in central London!
It has been really lovely working with SD Studios as the briefs are always fun and creative, from Father's Day cards to scratch off advent calendars, and really great seeing the products come to life when printed! (I still get an inward smile of excitement to see my work on a product in store or when I received a few scratch off advent calendars in the post in time for Christmas!)
I work both digitally and traditionally, drawing and painting or vector or pixel depending on the project in question and the requirements of the brief and love experimenting with different media and techniques! To view more of
